TravelGlitch.com - Home of the cheapest travel deals... the ones that were not meant to be!

$100 off per roundtrip or one-way fare booked on united.com

Follow instructions below:

  1. Go to ebay.com.

  2. Do a search for "United 100".

  3. Find someone selling the $100 off United e-certificate and buy one. (Or if without buying one, somehow you can get the seller to just tell you what the first 9 digits are, that's even better!)

Most people are selling these for $10 or so, on ebay.com.

  4. After buying one, the seller will send you an e-certificate number (15 digits).

All these certificates have the same first 9 digits and only the last 6 digits are different.

  5. To check if your e-certificate number (15 digits) is valid, just copy the very long URL below and paste it in your browser.

At the end of the URL, make sure you replace "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" with your 15 digits e-certificate number.

  6. Now, if you want to discover other valid e-certificate numbers, you just need to change the last 6 digits and try until you find another one that works.

Our advice is just to paste again the same URL, but increase your number by 1 at each attempt.

For instance, if your e-certificate number is ending with XXXXXXXXXXXX352, change the value to XXXXXXXXXXXX353 and paste again the new URL in your browser. Redo it again with XXXXXXXXXXXX354, and then with XXXXXXXXXXXX355, XXXXXXXXXXXX356, XXXXXXXXXXXX357, etc. until you find an e-certificate number that works.

Using the technique above, in about just 10 minutes, we were able to find 5 new e-certificate numbers that were valid!

Obviously, we have now a situation where different people on ebay are sometimes selling the same e-certificate numbers to different buyers... so if you have an e-certificate number that works, USE IT IMMEDIATELY to avoid someone else from guessing it and using it before you.

If you want to push this even further, after using the e-certificate number you originally bought from the ebay seller, you could contact the seller and claim that the e-certificate number you were given is not valid... ask for a refund or for a new e-certificate number to replace it!
